As part of our contribution to Uganda. Eclipse Design UK was commissioned to design a guest house and oversee the initial stages of the development. As work progressed we were still involved in providing the relevant advice or information. This was undertaken free of charge.
The revenue raised from tourists and overseas volunteers staying at the guest house, will aid and sustain locally organised projects which include local widows groups, orphanages and medical outreaches
This is an opportunity for the community to receive free diagnosis by qualified doctors and nurses and also receive free medicine. The queue in the picture reflects the remaining number of local people who came along on the day. All medicine is freely distributed to people who otherwise would not be able to afford it. The medical outreach takes place in various locations where established charities do not reach.

There is still work to done on the property. Watch this space. It is intended that the guest house will help to generate funds that will help to assist widows and also support the supply of free medication to the villages.
